This gallery includes photos that I did of NYC entrepreneurs in collaboration with Cole Rood & Haan. All of the people shot for this project run businesses that have to do with taking old things and making them new again in interesting ways. This concept also seemed like a timely idea as there is a lot of DIY spirit in NYC these days.

The Smile is my favorite place to hang out and grab lunch and Carlos, Melia and Matt are great so it was natural to think of them for this shoot. Maryam and Uday's store Maryam Nassir Zadeh is really something special, I love the mix of vintage and hand crafted items that they sell there. Also it is really inspiring to see how they put everything together, if you have ever been to their store you know what I mean. Black Sheep and Prodigal Sons is a great line of jewelry, accessories and objects made by Derrick R. Cruz who has been featured before on the site. Jack's Coffee on 10th street is a great place to get a coffee when you are on the west side, also Jack is basically the mayor of west 10th street.
